“Labour’s coalition of voters has been eroded by neo-liberal policies that have seen a race to the bottom with flexible labour markets and a failure to give proper protection for agency workers, by the promotion of personal debt to mitigate against the transfer of wealth from labour to capital, by the extension of the market into wider spheres of society and, of course, by the foreign policy misadventure in Iraq.” – Colin Burgon

Ex-Cyclone Olga – Update 06
Was that a screech of cyclonic brakes? Madame Olga may be just a mere tropical low now but she is teasing us with her movements. The mysterious lady seems to have pulled a 90 degree left turn and is now heading south. This is somewhat reminiscent of Cyclone Hamish who also made a similar manoeuvre, although a lot further out at sea. The BoM thinks she’ll head west eventually. As ever, time will tell.
